Here is my low tech solution for keeping the cats out of the beds - stretching netting (this happens to be aviary netting I use to keep the chickens from flying the coop) over the raised beds, securing them with nails...
Thanks for posting this, Lara. I'm having trouble with something pooping in my garden too. (I thought it was a dog, but maybe it's a cat.) What do you do with the net when the veggies get bigger?
I try to take the netting off before the veggies reach it (otherwise they get tangled in it and you end up pulling the plants out when you remove the netting). Once the veggies get bigger the cats aren't as interested in going in the beds - they're more interested in open soil....
